I went for a solo backpacking/mountaineering trip in December of 2002 to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. As I was climbing the final summit ridge of Mt. Marcy (highest peak in NY) I turned around and saw this. I quickly snapped this pic with a crappy point and shoot camera before racing to the top. By the time I summited the clouds had socked in and I was in near white out conditions.
